Come and relax in Mount Olive's woods
We are situated on a hillside on the outskirts of Torquay, just 15 minutes from the beaches and coastal path, with views overlooking the peaks of Dartmoor to the north. The land includes woodland walkways, meeting spaces, organic vegetable garden, chicken area, open fire pit with seating, prayer cabin, Church hall and family home. (Fresh farm eggs and seasonal organic vegetables may be available to purchase). There is over 12 acres where peacefulness prevails. You may see or hear rabbits, squirrels, foxes, owls, our resident woodpeckers and even the occasional deer. If you are seeking God we would like to think you will encounter Him here - a thin place, where heaven and earth meet. If you require prayer or ministry this may be arranged.
2024-25 prices:
(Minimum three night stay.)
Three nights - £400
One week - £800
Two weeks - £1500
Facilities
Shepherd's Hut with living and sleeping area for two people.
Convertible double bed folding back into a sofa as desired.
Drop-leaf table and chairs.
Dresser.
Woodburner.
Stable door to covered porch area and cloak room with fridge and log store.
(Additional logs and kindling available to purchase on request.)
Outside undercover bbq / cooking / eating / seating area.
Compost toilet.
(Use of church facilities including toilets and showers available.)
